Upgrade / Remediation of ePub2 and ePub3
There are good reasons to subject backlist Accessible ePub3 to periodic review to insure that it meets current standards.
DPS offers these two services to assist with this task.
Upgrade ePub2 or ePub3 to Accessible ePub3
This service may be used to upgrade any handcoded (not machine-generated) ePub2 and ePUB3 file to Accessible standards.
To order, create a title and upload the file or files to be upgraded to that title's Source Files folder.
Add the title to the cart
Select "Upgrade ePub2 or ePub3 to Accessible ePub3" from the services menu.
Click on "Place Order" to register the order.
Deliverables in this case will be the Accessible ePub3, an ATAR sheet, subsequent integration of Alt-text when the sheet is returned, and a final ACE report to verify the work.
Upgrade Accessible ePub3 to Current Standard
This service applies to ePub3 files which have been created by DPS or EBB over the period 2020 to date.
The value of the service rests on the fact that WCA Guidelines defining ePub3 standards are updated quarterly. As a result, an ePub3 created in 2020 and certified with an ACE report may not be compliant with the ACE tests now in force.
To order, create a title and upload the file or files to be upgraded to that title's Source Files folder.
- Add the title to the cart
- Select "Upgrade Accessible ePub3 from DPS" from the services menu.
- Click on "Place Order" to register the order.
Deliverables in this case will be the Accessible ePub3, an ATAR sheet, subsequent integration of Alt-text when the sheet is returned, and a final ACE report to verify the work.
