Assistance Available for Publishers

Free Evaluation / Remediation of Accessible ePub3 

Where an Accessible ePub3 has been created inhouse or by another service provider, DPS offers free evaluation and possibly free remediation. The result will be an ACE report and a quote.

To use this service after signup, create the title record and place the files to be evaluated in the Source File folder.

Place the title in the cart and select  "Evaluation/Remediation" from the Formats and Services menu.

Then select either "Request Quote" or "Place Order" and you'll receive a confirmation ticket to start the process.

Correction of Errors and Help with Distributor Rejections

Every publisher is familiar with the experience of having epubs rejected by distributors like Apple, Amazon and Google.

Because the format is demanding and specs change frequently, error reports like this are common.

And because WCAG specifications may be in conflict with distributor policies, there will be cases where ACE reports show no flaws but distributor rules call for rejection.

In these cases, where the conversion work has been done by DPS, we will supply alternate versions for submission to distributors who have rejected files for this reason.

When these cases arise, DPS will save time and effort by identifying the source of the error and providing replacement files, often without charge. To get help in these cases, place the title in the cart and select choose use the "Revision Request" process to get an immediate response.
