Initiate the Quote/Order Process

All orders in DPS begin their lives as "estimates" or quotes.

Virtually every ebook conversion project is unique in some respect, so most require some exchange/communication before a final quote can be presented for client approval. For example, source files often need to be examined for variables or special cases (such as "complexity" factors with Accessible formats.) To facilitate this exchange of information, clients will receive a "Confirmation Notice" after clicking the "Initiate Order" button on the cart. This provides a tentative quote to initiate a thread allowing clients to add comments and questions. (These threads may extend through dozens of messages, but all are tied to the single order record, so a record is preserved. This is the reason why orders are confined to single titles.)

When this Q&A process is complete, a price will be provided, perhaps through an Estimate for client approval.
Only at this point is the order considered binding.

Step by Step:

1. Create a record for the title in the Title List.

2. Place the title in cart and select one or more "Formats and Services" for which a quote is required.

1.  "Request Quote" is free of charge.

2. Click "Request Quote or Modify Existing Order" 

In order to supply a quote we will need source files (PDF or ePub) for each title in the order.
These should be uploaded to the "Source Files folders" found on the title list for each title.

You will then receive an email response establishing the project and providing exact pricing
